The parent company, Häny AG, has been a Swiss family business since its foundation in 1875 and is managed directly by the fifth generation of the family. Häny AG is a household name in the market for pump and system technology, turbines as well as mixing and injection technology and in Switzerland is considered to be the leading system provider in water supply and drainage.
The core competencies of Häny AG are in the areas of the supply of drinking water, waste water disposal, pumps for the construction industry, turbine systems, stainless steel technology, industrial secondary processes, the rebuilding and maintenance of pumping systems as well as the repair of pumps of all brands.

Abel became Häny Austria
For more than 35 years, in the pump industry the name A.Abel GmbH, has stood for quality, reliability and solution competence in municipal waste water technology. In addition, thanks to our reliable partners the areas of power engineering and construction and tunnel technology have been continuously developed and integrated into the company structure over the past ten years. The takeover of A.Abel GmbH by long-time partner Häny AG in October 2013 , meant that the synergies could be optimised.
As of January 1, 2017, A.Abel GmbH was renamed Häny Austria GmbH. This logical step meant that the internationally successful name of "Häny" became a trademark in Austria as well. At the same time, the business segments of ump and system supplier Häny Austria are now being expanded to include the areas of "Building services" and "Industry" for the Austrian market.
