Pumps, turbines and systems

Pelton turbine (PTV & PTH)

Mode of operation
In the Pelton turbine, the feed water flows through a very high speed jet out of one or more nozzles arranged tangentially to the circumference of the impeller, striking the blades of the impeller.

The buckets have the function of redirecting the water in the opposite direction so that the kinetic energy can be delivered to the impeller. This in turn is connected to the generator, which converts mechanicall into electrical energy.

Scope of delivery
We deliver Pelton turbines in horizontal or vertical versions. Different material qualities can be used for the impellers and the housing, adapted to the particular requirements. Drinking water compatible version - completely made of stainless steel as standard for drinking water turbines. Impellers are available in screwed and monobloc versions.

Advantages and applications of our Pelton turbines

  • large fall heights
  • fluctuating water volumes
  • high efficiencies
  • guaranteed efficiencies
  • robust construction
  • completely made of stainless steel
  • monobloc impellers
